Object description :

"Sealing Stamp With Two Lions And A Silver Medal - European - 18th Century"
An elegant 18th-century wax seal, crafted from solid silver, finely worked and richly decorated. The circular die is engraved with a central shield surmounted by a crown, flanked by two facing heraldic lions, traditional symbols of power, nobility, and protection. At the center of the shield is a motif resembling a medal or military decoration, suggesting a connection to the military world or an honorary merit, likely associated with an officer or a family with a martial tradition. The entire composition reflects a typical heraldic aesthetic of the Ancien Régime. The handle, also made of silver, has an elegant openwork design, resting on a gadrooned circular base, ensuring a comfortable grip. The natural patina testifies to its age and authenticity, while maintaining excellent legibility of the engraved details. Total length: 3 cm
