Four Walnut Carved Capitals, 18th Century
These four finely carved walnut wood capitals may have originated from an elaborate boiserie. Executed with great precision, the capitals are Corinthian in style, decorated with acanthus leaves in the lower section, while the upper part features curled volutes. The top section is smooth and the four displays a fine patina. Judging by the refinement of the carving, they can be attributed to a workshop, probably Italian, active in the 18th century.
