Heavy hunting dagger (venery) - Last quarter of the 19th century. Strong single-edged blade with a pronounced false edge extending from the middle of the blade to the point. Acid etching on both sides of the blade (faded by age and use). Stag horn grip with nickel silver (?) fittings. Wooden scabbard covered in red morocco leather with a chape and locket in nickel silver (?). The grip has some play, but the dagger is otherwise solid. Damage and wear to the leather. Overall length 47cm, dagger length 45cm, blade length 31.5cm, blade thickness at the spine near the guard 7mm, weight 527g, weight without scabbard 413g
