Pair Of Wooden And Brass Coat Hooks - Belle époque, Circa 1900
An elegant and relatively rare pair of double coat hooks from the Art Nouveau period, in the style of Thonet or Kohn productions. Each piece consists of a bent tubular metal structure, adorned with decorative elements in bent wood (beech) with a warm patina. This model is distinguished by its meticulous finish and its pretty geometric brass finials in the shape of flowers (or four-leaf clovers). Upper part: Wide hook surmounted by a turned wooden olive. Lower part: Half-moon hook with solid brass finials worked in the shape of fleur-de-lis or gadrooned cabochons. Fixing: Original metal mounting plates with four anchor points, ensuring perfect stability. Beautiful condition with a superb patina of use. The wood is sound, the brass is bright.
