"Walnut Serving Trolley, Art Nouveau – 1900"
This superb walnut serving trolley, dating from 1900, is a remarkable example of Art Nouveau. It opens at the waist with two drawers adorned with iron handles, decorated with leaf and fruit motifs. A central lock with simultaneous condemnation, accompanied by an iron entry in the Art Nouveau style, ensures the security of the drawers. The two molded doors, darkened with burr walnut panels and equipped with iron spandrels, open thanks to an original lock at the top and bottom. Below, a closed shelf provides additional storage space. The uprights, generously molded with apple decorations and asymmetrical fluting, end in slightly flattened straight legs. The upper part of the cabinet is decorated with a mercury mirror, surmounted by a shelf resting on two openwork consoles. The whole is crowned by a pediment flanked by three burr walnut panels and an imposing molded element, decorated with fruit and leaves. Part of a living room set, this brilliantly crafted piece is the perfect illustration of the Art Nouveau style.********Period: 1900Excellent condition.Waxed finishDelivery possible in France and internationally.Dimensions:Width: 150 cmDepth: 50 cmHeight: 166 cm
