Small Mahogany Desk, English Style – Early 20th Century
A small, low-profile English-style desk made of mahogany and mahogany veneer, with a striking presence thanks to the warmth of its wood and the elegance of its lines. The apron is accented with strips of light-colored wood that delicately highlight the piece’s design and showcase the finesse of its marquetry work. It features two drawers, each fitted with a lock and a superb, finely chiseled key, reflecting the special attention paid to detail. The harmoniously curved bronze drop handles add an extra touch of refinement and evoke the style of traditional English desks.
The desk is upholstered in magnificent black leather, featuring a delicate arabesque pattern at its center and subtly framed by a gilded border and an embossed border that highlight its exquisite craftsmanship.
The piece rests on graceful, slender, and subtly decorated tapered legs, which give the desk a balanced and light silhouette.
This desk, both understated and distinguished, embodies superb craftsmanship and blends naturally into a classic or contemporary interior.
