Cabaret-style Walnut Table, Provence, Louis XV Period
Exquisite Cabaret-style table in solid walnut, dating from the 18th century (circa 1730-1740).
A very fine example of Provençal wurk, it features a carved, molded, and recessed top with a raised edge.
The apron is also molded and opens to reveal two drawers.
The table rests on four strongly cabriole legs ending in split sabots decorated with carved acanthus leaves.
A beautiful and elegant side table, typical of Provençal work during the reign of Louis XV.
