Large glazed terracotta olive jar from Biot, dating from the late 18th century. It is 1 meter tall, in perfect condition, with a beautiful glaze around the neck. It has an original notch at the neck to allow the ladle to hang. Beautiful patina from age. No restoration, in perfect condition, it "sings" wonderfully. A line visible in the photos is a firing flaw, a raised feature. I have taken close-ups so that you can see that it is in no way a restoration or a crack. More information available upon request.
