Henri Autran (1926-2007), The Farmhouse At Tourtour, Oil On Panel, Signed, Titled

Artist: Henri Autran (1926-2007)
Henri Autran was a painter from Provence, born in Marseille. He lived for much of his life in the village of Tourtour, located in the Var department. The verdant landscapes, the village houses, and the people strolling through the village were the preferred subjects of his paintings. His naive and poetic style is also highly expressionistic, characterized by its bold colors and use of black. His works are held in numerous private collections and at the Musée Cantini in Marseille.
