Born in Trieste on May 3, 1924, Renato Balestra began his career as an artist (he was notably a painter and decorator). The renowned fashion designer Renato Balestra was a painter in his early youth; this work likely dates from after the Second World War, before the creation of his brand in 1959. The work is in its original condition, bearing an exhibition number on the back and the Renato Balestra stamp, which is embossed with a fire mark. It is in the Orientalist style and signed on the canvas (see photo). The work is in its original condition, with no tears and no frame.
