Pair Of Empire Silvered Bronze Candlesticks, 19th Century
Pair of Empire style silvered bronze candlesticks or torches, entirely and finely chased (with a scale-like pattern), tulip-shaped sockets, straight stems adorned with a vegetal frieze and small flowers, mounted on a round, molded base chased with a small egg-and-dart frieze, dating from the 19th century. These candlesticks are in good overall condition, in their original state. They will need cleaning (a layer of varnish to be removed). They have their bobeches. Note: some silvering loss in places, a few dents and signs of age, see photos. Height 27.2 cm, base diameter 13 cm / candle 2.3 cm. Reference: 300 363.
