Lombard Inlaid Chest of Drawers – Late 18th Century
Provenance: Lombardy, Brianza area – private Milanese collection
Dimensions: 142 × 52 × 89 cm
Description: Elegant late 18th-century Lombard chest of drawers, attributable to the refined cabinet-making tradition of the Brianza area, crafted in walnut with the use of various wood veneers. The three-drawer front is enriched with fine geometric and floral inlays, featuring carefully arranged rosette motifs highlighted by subtle stringing and delicate carved details along the edges. The well-balanced and slender structure stands on tapering legs, lending lightness to the overall design. The warm, well-preserved patina enhances the quality of the materials and the high level of craftsmanship. A piece of great charm and presence, suitable for both classic and contemporary interiors.
