Pair Of Cartel Clocks And Barometers In Reverse-painted Glass, Charles X Period - Circa 1825

A barometer and cartel clock with reverse-painted glass dials in lozenge-shaped frames adorned with palmettes. The reverse-painted glass features a lozenge-shaped dial with gold lettering on a white background. The center is decorated with a rosette whose arms are adorned with palmettes.
A border with black and gold shell motifs on a mirrored (parclose) background completes the ensemble. The frame is decorated with a gilt floral and vegetal frieze on a black background. Charles X period, circa 1825. Very rare on the market as a pair. Good condition.
Height: 96 cm. Width: 67 cm.
Provenance: An apartment in the Faubourg Saint-Germain. Formerly in the collection of a Parisian antique dealer, circa 1900.
