A pair of Three Kings from a 19th-century Neapolitan nativity scene. The figures, carved and polychrome wood, are presented on their original bases, dressed in richly decorated antique textile costumes adorned with braid, embroidery, and trimmings, characteristic of the Neapolitan tradition. Their expressive faces, one with fair skin and the other with dark skin, as well as their finely modeled gestures of offering, are typical of the iconography of the Three Kings. The fabrics, in shades of red, green, and gold, have a beautiful antique patina, consistent with the age and use of these nativity figures.
