Frédéric Belser, Swiss, Born In Geneva In 1929, Hsp Geometric Abstraction

Oil on hardboard panel, signed Frédéric Belser and dated 1992. Of Swiss origin, he was born in Geneva in 1929. Geometric abstraction, 40 x 40 cm. His works are largely influenced by Max Bill, whose exhibition he visited in Zurich in 1949. In 1955, another important step in his artistic development was the exhibition of works by Piet Mondrian at the Kunsthaus Zurich. From 1956 to 1962, he worked as a doctor in various hospitals. From 1962 to 1994, he opened his own practice in internal medicine and diabetology in Zurich. He was nicknamed Zucker-Belser.
