Artist: Non Signé
A beautiful early 19th-century Charles X style inkwell in Tuscan marble and patinated chased bronze. This lovely desk ornament is an elegant and refined piece. The beautiful Tuscan marble, chosen for its incomparable ochre hues, is mounted on finely chased, ornamented claw feet. It features two inkwells, a pen holder, and a central trinket tray with a basin resting on a dolphin's tail. The marble front is hollowed out to hold pencils. A beautiful example of neoclassical style, decorative and in good condition. The bronze work and the successful patina add a tasteful neoclassical appeal to this lovely piece with its carefully chosen marble.
