Porcelain Vase From Valentine Or Paris, Decorated With A Bouquet Of Flowers, 19th Century
Made by the "Valentine" factory in Saint-Gaudens or Paris. This cone-shaped vase is decorated with a bouquet of hand-painted and enameled polychrome flowers: open rose, peony, tulip, forget-me-not, cineraria, etc., with their leaves and stems. Unlike many other, more conventional pieces of the period, this is an original piece. It is framed by long, blue-glazed leaves that form the side handles. The polychromy is magnificent very contrasted, the decoration hand-painted, and the floral arrangement beautifully rendered. 19th century. Dimensions: approximately 21 cm x 17 cm. Weight: 500 g. Very good condition. This vase is antique and has been used: normal wear to the gilding highlights. Please note that I respond to all inquiries about my items.
