Silver Box, Louis XVI Style, France, Late 19th Century
A rectangular silver box with a flat base, rounded corners, and three curved sides. It is decorated around the entire circumference with bouquets of flowers tied in what are known as "Marie Antoinette" knots. The domed, hinged lid is adorned with a floral escutcheon, highlighted at the bottom by a rocaille comb. France, late 19th century, Louis XVI style. 950/1000 silver, Minerva hallmarks.
