Epinal plate with a rooster on a fence - Late 18th - Early 19th century. A high-fired plate with eight lobes, a characteristic Epinal decoration. Decorated with a rooster on a fence resting on a grassy mound. The rim is decorated with three bouquets. A similar plate is reproduced in the reference book. It has undergone two major repairs to chips at 2 and 4 o'clock (see photos). No cracks or chips. Diameter 22.7 cm
