A satin-finished, solid mahogany slant-front secretary desk.
It opens with a drop-front and four drawers in the front, the central one a trompe-l'oeil.
The drop-front is held in place by period ironwork.
Inside, there are seven curved, stepped drawers and a sliding secret panel.
Stamped under the front rail by J.C. Saunier, who became a master in 1743.
The bronze keyhole escutcheons and drawer pulls are originals.
