KABUTO Helmet composed of two plates welded together and lacquered.

This shape, very fashionable in the 18th century, was inspired by the influential Portuguese morions of the time.

The two Fukigashi bear the Kamon of the Tokugawa shogunate.
The shikoro are three-striped, laced in blue and multicolored patterns.
Maedate in gilded copper, horn-shaped.

MENPO lacquered iron mask of the Resei type, red lacquered interior.
Yodorekake with four lacquered iron strips, lacquered identically to the helmet. MISSING NOSE.

Some losses and chips to the lacquer; a reversible wax has been applied for protection by the previous owner.
