Christofle Marly Silver-plated Fish Serving Scoop, 1980s
A silver-plated fish serving scoop by Christofle, Marly pattern, reference no. 51. The Marly pattern is one of the great classics of Christofle silverware. Inspired by the Louis XV style and the Rococo vocabulary of the 18th century, it is distinguished by its rich chasing of shells, foliage, and asymmetrical scrolls. This iconic design graced the grand French flatware sets of the 20th century. This fish serving scoop is recognizable by its wide, flat blade for lifting and presenting fillets. An antique example in good used condition, showing normal signs of wear visible on the serving surface. The silver plating is still intact. Made in France, produced in the 1980s. Standard length of the model: 27 cm. An ideal piece to complete a Marly flatware set, replace a missing piece, or create a cohesive dinner service.
