"Pair Of Decorative Plates Gda Limoges – Kingfisher – Signed Carrier"
Lovely pair of decorative plates in fine Limoges porcelain (GDA factory – Gérard, Dufraisseix & Abbot), with a lobed shape enhanced with a gold rim. Each plate is decorated with a naturalistic scene representing a kingfisher in an aquatic landscape, in a very poetic palette of blues and greens. Hand-painted decoration, signed in the Carrier decoration. Limoges porcelain, GDA France stamp on the reverse. Circa 1900-1920. Good general condition. One plate has a small old chip that has been reattached (almost invisible to the naked eye, see photos).
