"Marcel Guillemard Arrow Lamppost. "
A very beautiful 1950s floor lamp in solid gilt bronze with a black wood base. A choice piece composed of three bronze arms pointing towards the light and a very beautiful original, unpainted black wood base with solid gilt bronze glides adorned with three finely chiseled feathers. Marcel Guillemard was a great Art Deco designer who left his sons a high-end company, Marcel Guillemard et ses fils, which created very beautiful lighting fixtures after the war. This particular lamp dates from 1955 and was featured in La Maison Française in December 1955/January 1956, page XL. It is in very good overall condition and boasts great neoclassical elegance inspired by the Directoire style, making it a very attractive decorative piece.
