"Silver-gilt Cup"
An elegant, slightly flared goblet resting on a molded circular foot. The body is richly decorated with cartouches, scrolls, and engraved motifs in the Neo-Rococo style. The interior is entirely gilded, as was customary for pieces intended for tableware or ceremonial use. The presence of the French Minerva 1st standard hallmark dates the piece to after 1838. The decoration and style are consistent with high-quality production from the late 19th century. A more precise identification of the silversmith would require a clearer reading of the maker's mark.
