Inlaid Glove Box, Napoleon III Period, 19th Century
A lovely vintage Napoleon III-era glove box, featuring marquetry of thuja burl, rosewood, and blackened wood, with burgautée inlay and brass fillet and decorative accents. Beautiful interior upholstered in turquoise blue silk. The lock is functional and the key is included. Please note that there are a few chips in the veneer on the blackened wood sections (see photos).
