Raak 6-light Hexagonal Chandelier, Space Age Design, 1970s
Spectacular chandelier dating from the 1970s by Dutch brand Raak, part of the Space Age Design movement.
Made of hexagonal chromed metal, it features 6 spotlights with Plexiglas filters that create blue, orange and green light rings in the shape of small spheres. Each spot also features a thick cylindrical glass pressed with light-diffusing spikes.
This chandelier is a decorative element in its own right, taking on incredible dimensions when lit. A real spaceship!
A few tiny spots of oxidation on the chromed metal are due to the age of the chandelier, but in no way detract from its overall aesthetics.
