8 Talking Plates "scenes From Everyday Life" Sarreguemines, XIXth Century

Series of 8 talking dessert plates illustrating scenes from everyday life in the middle of the 19th century: - The flower market, - Thirty cents scarves, - Small industries on the boulevards, - The return of the roll-on truck, - The ham market , - The port of Algiers, - The wounded soldier (x2). The edges of the plates are decorated with a frieze of flowers, leaves and fruits in shades of blue. The back of the plates is stamped U & Cie Sarreguemines, Médaille d'or 1844. Good general condition with however a slight chip of enamel in the center of one of the plates (see detail photo), but nothing abnormal given the age.
