Gregory VIII, born Alberto di Morra (1100-1187), known for having called the Third Crusade, the crusade of Frederick Barbarossa and Richard the Lionheart, and Leo IX, born Bruno von Egisheim-Dagsburg (1002-1054), a supporter of the Eastern Schism.
The two beautiful profiles are in excellent condition; they still have their original carved and lacquered wooden frames.
