Original watercolor (grisaille) serving as a model for a Viennese New Year's postcard, dated 1901, created by the renowned Austrian historical painter and illustrator Eduard Luttich von Luttichheim (1844 Prague - 1920 Vienna).
A pupil of Josef von Führich, he traveled to Switzerland and southern Germany. In 1876, the artist produced a series of engravings entitled "Deutsche Minnesänger" (German Minnesinger). His paintings "The Last Ride of Emperor Rudolf" and "Battle of Göllheim" were acquired by Emperor Franz Joseph I.
