A very rare second Lyon edition of this important historical and geographical treatise devoted to the ancient Cisalpine populations and their capital, Milan. Gaudenzio Merula (1500–1555), Italian Renaissance writer and historian, here signs one of his most sought-after works, printed by the renowned humanist Sébastien Gryphe. The book is extremely rare.
