"Louis XVI Roll-top Desk, Late 18th Century"
An elegant Louis XVI drop-front secretary desk, made in the late 18th century. This piece features a three-drawer base and a three-door upper section with a projecting central finial. A peripheral gallery adorned with delicate rosettes accentuates the refined design. The top opens outwards to reveal an interior fitted with eight small drawers and a central compartment. The secretary rests on slender, tapered, fluted legs. Veneered in fine walnut, the surfaces are richly decorated with inlaid borders and geometric marquetry motifs, demonstrating exceptional craftsmanship. The gilt-bronze fittings add a touch of refinement, while the top is covered in high-quality black leather.
