Mahogany Veneer Flat Desk – Empire/Restoration Period. This mahogany veneer flat desk features a molded apron with two drawers. The top is covered in its original morocco leather. The base rests on four brackets terminating in superb bronze claw feet, connected by a partially carved H-shaped stretcher. The piece is distinguished by its high-quality, mercury-gilded bronze mounts, which are rare and particularly elegant. Dimensions: H. 74.5 cm – W. 147 cm – D. 73 cm. The desk is offered in its used condition, with a generally acceptable state of repair: some wear to the leather, a few scratches, and traces of previous restorations.
