Spectacular pair of torchères/light arms – Louis XIV period, 17th century. Rare and imposing pair of light arms, likely of Italian origin from the 17th century. Carved and gilded with gold leaf, they feature acanthus leaves, palmettes, heart-shaped scrolls, and egg-and-dart motifs. Designed for candles, they can also be mounted as lamps. Wrought iron wall brackets. Condition: some damage, minor losses, and old retouching of the gilding; sold as is. Ready to hang. These pieces will enhance a château, a private residence, or inspire decorators and architects to create a unique setting around these light arms.
