Desk designed by Charlotte Perriand for the Cansado mining town between 1959 and 1967. It features a blue laminate top mounted on a black lacquered tubular metal base, designed to be robust and easy to maintain, in accordance with the requirements of MIFERMA's communal furniture. The desk is equipped with a side drawer made of thermoformed plastic, marked "patented SGDG," typical of the products made for this industrial program. Edition: Steph Simon, circa 1959-1967. Cansado is a mining town built in the 1960s by the Mauritanian Iron Mining Company "MIFERMA" to house its employees. Some of the furniture was designed by Charlotte Perriand between 1959 and 1967.
