Fetish Horn, Voodoo Cult, Fon People, Benin
Beautiful fetish associated with the "Tron" cult. It consists of a horn surmounted by a wooden statue in front of which is fixed a small pottery vessel and ritual iron objects. The whole is bound with string and covered with a crusty patina. The shape of the horn lends an airy dynamism to this composition, giving it a beautiful and harmonious presence.
Materials: Horn, iron, terracotta, wood, string, and sacrificial agglomerate.
