Lightweight wooden war shield, painted with ochre-brown mineral pigments. It is reinforced horizontally with rattan strips. Iban Dayak ethnic group, West Kalimantan, Borneo – Early 20th century or earlier.
Sold with a custom-made patinated brass base.
