"Kriss"
Ceremonial weapon. Straight, double-edged steel blade, attached to the hilt by a silver-plated metal "mendak" ring. The anthropomorphic hilt and scabbard are made of wood, reinforced by metal rings. Significant brown patina from use. Lampung region, East Sumatra, Indonesia - 19th century.
Sold with a custom-made patinated brass base.
