A pair of finely enhanced daguerreotypes of a couple in their oval leather Union Case, circa 1850. The black leather Union Cases are stamped "Mson B Breveté SGDG," identifying the work of Jean-Baptiste Malchausse, known as Berubet (1804-1887). Jean-Baptiste Berubet was a photographer and optician working in Clermont-Ferrand between 1850 and 1855.
