Fishermen can be seen, on and around a traditional fishing boat in the waters of Lake Tiberias. located between the Golan Heights and Galilee. The landscape is characterized by rocky shores and hills in the distance, with a village nestled on the opposite shore.
Felix Bonfils was a French photographer (1831 - 1885). He learned phography from Niepce de Saint-Victor, nephew of Nicéphore Niepce.
He opened his photographic studio in 1867 in Beirut, Lebanon. He is famous for his photographs of architecture and landscapes in Lebanon, Egypt, Palestine, Syria and Greece.
