Rar Rocking Chair By Charles Eames, Herman Miller And Zenith Plastics
RAR chair, or "Rocking Armchair Rod Base," in gray fiberglass, designed by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller. Early production, molded by Zenith Plastics in Gardena, California, circa 1948-1952. The shell features a highly visible, fibrous weave.
The chair's frame is finished in "Rope Edge" (hemp rope), a detail found only on early Zenith editions. It has large shock mounts. The original Zenith Plastics sticker is still present and intact.
One of the rarest models, a collector's gem.
This chair is sold as a collector's item; although it shows no signs of wear, we advise against using it.

Seat height 39 cm.
