HST Portrait of Jacques Gasnier, Entrepreneur of Books and Books buildings of the King, 1660-1741. Married to Marie Garreau Saumur 1670-1728. 8 children whose Ambroise Gasnier of Caroy 1699/1759 merchant in Nantes with the islands. portrait by Pierre Ernou "Le Chevalier Ernou" painter of King 1665-1750, active in Angers, Paris and Lyon. He always signed the back "Knight Ernou". Romain title. This portrait, like all of Ernou, is painted in a classical rigor close to Hyacinthe Rigaud reflecting the character's personality and his social position.
