Antique large Heriz Persian rug, original from the 1930s (approximately), entirely hand-knotted in wool on a cotton warp and weft, with vegetable dyes and a traditional design typical of the Heritz / Serapi area. The richly decorated rug features a central medallion, a brick red field, midnight blue borders and ivory-yellow corners. Large format 350x270 cm ideal for period living rooms, it has small thinnings in some areas due to its age.
