Antique French Napoleon III Desk In Rosewood And Bois De Rose

Antique French Napoleon III desk in rosewood and bois de rose, richly decorated with original gilded bronze applications.
The piece has a large central drawer, meaning the back is finished like the front, as you can see in the photos.
The rosewood contrasts beautifully with the bois de rose; note that the rosewood has been inlaid with diamond patterns. The top has a rosewood edge with genuine leather inside (the original leather was replaced because it was too worn).
The desk was restored in our workshop. The bronzes were removed, the wooden parts were restored, stripped of paint and varnished, the reassembled bronzes were cleaned, and the leather on the top was replaced.
This piece is very interesting and rare, measuring 95 cm x 57 cm x 77 cm.
