A very beautiful fragment of a Shahsaven Maffrash from Persia. Originally, Maffrash were the largest carrying bags used by the nomadic populations of Persia and the Caucasus. They also served as prams once the camp was set up. Mixed media technique: wool on wool. Weaving and embroidery. Extremely fine and refined work. The colors are very soft and soothing.
