Superb Turkmen rug - Bukhara. Woven and knotted wool on wool in the traditional manner. The compact size is interesting and unusual. Another unexpected aspect is its unconventional composition and motifs. Furthermore, the red and indigo blue hues are reminiscent of older Turkmen rugs such as the Torba and other Yomud and Tekke saddle rugs. A touch of yellow also catches the eye. The quality of the wool is remarkable. The pile is approximately 5 mm thick. In very good condition, truly impeccable. Reinforced knots at both ends of the fringe. A truly beautiful piece!
