Spectacular Art Nouveau ice cream service in solid silver, in the rare "Poppy" pattern. Complete with its 18 spoons with vermeil (gold-on-silver) bowls. Hallmarked with the French Minerva 1st Standard (.950) mark and the hallmarks of the master silversmith, Widow Léonie Lambert, who took over the business in 1904. This spectacular large Art Nouveau "Poppy" ice cream service is in very good condition, with only minor scratches from use. The rare "Poppy" pattern is listed in Mr. David Allan's reference work, which catalogs the finest French silverware designs of the 19th century.
