A pair of decorative covered vases in veined cream marble, adorned with finely chased bronze mounts in the Louis XVI style. Each vase has an ovoid body in polished marble, encircled by a bronze frieze decorated with foliage, and surmounted by a sculpted lid with a decorative knob. The pieces rest on a circular marble base with a bronze gadrooned plinth. A harmonious and high-quality set, exhibiting a pleasing original patina. Circa 1890-1900. Height: 45 cm.
