Elegant rectangular mahogany planter, resting on six turned legs, partially decorated with gilt bronze foliage motifs. The openwork belt features a neo-Gothic decoration of intersecting ogives. The upper tray is framed by a molded edge, while the whole rests on a rectangular spacer ensuring the stability and harmony of the piece. This planter illustrates the 19th century taste for classical forms enhanced with decorative details inspired by the Gothic style, in a spirit that is both functional and decorative. Very good condition, some minimal wear due to time. Measurements: 180/50/61cm
