Louis XV Style Commode In Solid Walnut And Marble, 18th Century
A very fine Louis XV period commode in solid walnut with a marble top.
This is a particularly serpentine model, with sinuous, curved front uprights resting on small, acanthus-leafed, snail-shaped feet. The sides are paneled.
The three drawers are intricately carved and molded with serpentine shapes.
The lower rail is carved with acanthus leaves.
It has a thick, molded marble top.
The handles, keyhole escutcheons, and locks are original.
There are a few minor restorations consistent with age.
Dating from the mid-18th century, probably from Italy or the South of France.
Delivery in a wooden crate on a pallet by carrier to your ground floor (bulky packaging), €300 in France, €1000 in the EU, and €3000 for the rest of the world.
